Online Business Registration Pty Ltd, Registration Pty Ltd, and similar entities send unsolicited letters or emails to Australian business owners, presenting themselves as official renewal notices for business names. These communications often appear to come from ASIC (Australian Securities and Investments Commission) but are not official bills.

They formatted to look like official ASIC correspondence, sometimes including urgent language suggesting you may risk losing your business name or domain. The services charge significantly more than the official ASIC fee, often with early payment discounts to pressure recipients.

We have recently noticed that more commonly business name holders are receiving these unsolicited letters at their home address.

We’d like to assure you that when your business name renewal is due you will either receive an email from us or directly from ASIC advising of this.

If you are ever in doubt, please do not hesitate to contact us here or give us a call on 02 4910 5555.
